Adolf Ladurner (1789-1855) was born into the family of composer and pianist Ignatius Ladurner, a native of Tyrol. He studied painting under Horace Vernet and later lived and worked in Paris, creating works in the field of battle painting (parades, scenes of military actions). He exhibited his works twice at the Salon (in 1824 the painting "Battle of Mataro" and in 1827 - "The Main Headquarters of the Royal Uhlans").
In 1830, he moved to St. Petersburg, where he soon gained the favor of Emperor Nicholas I and created for him depictions of military parades, maneuvers, camp scenes, uniforms of various parts of the Russian army, and so on.
In 1836, the Imperial Academy of Arts recognized him as an academician for several works presented to it, and in 1840, he was elevated to the rank of professor. He died in St. Petersburg in 1855. Many of Ladurner's works were scattered, primarily in imperial palaces; the most intricate and curious of them is "The Triumph of the Opening of the Alexander Column" (located in the Hermitage).
He passed away in St. Petersburg on June 2 (14) 1855 "from paralytic exhaustion of the spinal cord." He was buried at the Smolensk Lutheran Cemetery (plot 4, granite stele on a pedestal, the gravestone has been destroyed).
Мастерская Лады Быстрицкой была создана в Санкт-Петербурге. Этот уникальный художественный коллектив, видит своей целью, возрождение старых традиций Императорского фарфорового завода, основанных на ручной росписи фарфора и отказе от механических способов декорирования. Художники мастерской освоили различные способы декорирования, профессионально владеют росписью по фарфору в различных стилях и манерах, трудоемкой техникой миниатюрной живописи и гравировкой по золоту, что позволяет им создавать различные уникальные произведения: картины на фарфоре, вазы, шкатулки, сервизы, декоративные тарелки и другие предметы декора и интерьера. Фарфоровые изделия выполняются в единичных экземплярах. Сегодня в мастерской работают выпускники училища им. В.И. Мухиной, института живописи, скульптуры и архитектуры им. И.Е. Репина и мастера прошедшие обучение в стенах ЛФЗ, в числе их Лада Быстрицкая, окончившая в 1996 году кафедру стекла и керамики училища им. В.И. Мухиной.
