Description

On a rocky pedestal, there are sitting swans, some with wings spread, others with swan mother and young ones in different poses. The feathers are finely detailed in relief. The color palette consists of black and red on the legs, beak, and head. The painting is sparingly polychrome, with some gold accents. It is either by Johann Joachim Kaendler or partially unknown, dating from around 1752 to 1855-1863. Model numbers include 213, 214, 2213, 2214, 1824, 2213, E177, 77364, 77132. Some parts are restored; sword marks. Height ranges from 7 cm to 13 cm. Refer to the catalog of the State Porcelain Manufactory, "Bunte Vögel," plate 9, numbers 213, 214. A collection of ten porcelain figures of swans. Partly restored. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. 19th/20th century.
