Sculpture (unique piece) mounted on a gray lacquered wooden panel. Rectangular, wavy-edged porcelain plate with irregularly curved, partially wrinkled surface, partially broken and worked relief-like veins, depicting a tree and branching branches, as well as hand-formed, relief-like veined leaves. Violet-brown overglaze painting. Either Peter Strang, artist's signature and date "P. Strang (19) 89". Unique number 53/89. Hairline cracks. Sword mark. Relief measurement 56 cm x 38 cm. Plate measurement 80 cm x 60 cm. Peter Strang (born 1936) belongs to the group "Artistic Development" of sculptors who have been increasingly engaged in porcelain reliefs since the 1970s. Initially, a cast of a clay modelled surface is made and the porcelain positive is cast. In addition, he models plastic elements by hand during the design process in order to apply them with porcelain slip. See catalog Meissen Contours, p. 212f.
